Javier Muñoz (Pamplona, 1978) studied Fine Arts in Bilbao.
His professional activity has focused on editorial illustration, book covers, posters and children’s illustration. His work displays a universe of humor, absurdity and irony. His illustrations open doors to tenderness and dignity.
His work, between narrative and conceptual, is inspired by the world of cinema, painting, literature, music and photography.
He has worked for media such as CNN, WSJ, The Washington Post, Barron’s, WWD, Variety, Liberation, Le Monde, Le Parisien, De Standard, L’Express, The Guardian, Reader’s Digest, Forbes, Esquire, Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair, El Español, El País, El Mundo, Gulf News, de Volkskrant, New Scientist, South China Morning Post, Folha de Sao Paulo, among others. His illustrations have received recognition from SND and SNDE.
